BEN'S BIO

​

Ben Leiser is a freelance producer based in Los Angeles and Tucson. Originally from Herscher, Illinois—a farming town south of Chicago—Ben chased the Hollywood dream and began his career as a director's assistant on TV commercial sets.  

Rising quickly through the ranks, Ben gained experience as a freelance production coordinator, manager, and producer, eventually working as an in-house project management executive overseeing large teams of employees with multiple clients in cities around the globe. The last several years, Ben has been producing branded content and documentaries, bringing his expertise to collaborations with top directors, production studios, award-winning agencies and blue-chip companies.   

His diverse portfolio spans a wide range of productions, including comedy projects, celebrity-driven shoots, intricate set constructions, action-packed stunt sequences, and VFX-heavy productions. Ben has managed live-action shoots in many cities across the U.S. and around the world and has overseen productions with complex visual effects and animation.    

Most recently, he produced the PBS Independent Lens documentary Make Peace or Die: Honor the Fallen. The film follows Marine veteran Anthony Marquez, who, haunted by survivor's guilt after losing 17 comrades in Afghanistan, embarks on a healing journey. Anthony crafts and delivers battlefield crosses for the families of the fallen, seeking connection and closure.  

When not producing, Ben stays busy as a father to a teenage son, keeping up with his tireless French Brittany Spaniel on long walks or cycling through breathtaking landscapes on his prized Italian road bike.
